Hyundai i20 or similar · Campervan
A small car with a rooftop tent: three sleep, five travel, manual only, and it sips fuel.
Suzuki APV or similar · Campervan
The classic two-berth. A double bed inside, a rear kitchenette with gas cooker and ice cooler, and the paint job everyone photographs.
Toyota Estima or similar · Campervan
A plain two-berth van for people who would rather not be noticed. Estima-based, automatic available, same kitchenette arrangement.
Toyota Regius or similar · Campervan
Two or three berth with a double bed and a rooftop for the third. Choose this over the two-berth if you are three.
Toyota Regius or similar · Campervan
The three-berth that keeps the bed inside and puts the extra person on the roof, which leaves the cabin usable in rain.
Suzuki APV or similar · Campervan
The same two-berth layout under a high roof, so you can stand to cook. Manual or automatic.
Nissan Elgrand or similar · Campervan
The most comfortable two-berth here: Elgrand-based, automatic, kitchenette, 20 litre fridge drawer, and real storage.
Three vehicles with clearance and low range, for the Gibb River Road, Cape York and the unsealed tracks.

A two-berth 4WD camper with all terrain tyres, a solar panel and a fridge. For the Gibb River Road and Cape York, not the highway.
Nissan Navara or similar · 4WD
A dual cab with two rooftop tents: five travel and five sleep. The setup for a group doing dirt, with a 45 to 50 litre fridge.
Nissan Navara or similar · 4WD
The most self-sufficient of the three 4WDs: dual hardshell tents, 300W solar, a 38 litre fridge and a 70 litre water tank.
One option with five seats, no bed and no kitchen.
Toyota Corolla or similar · Car
A small car for five people with a daily distance allowance. It has no bed or kitchen; check the current vehicle details with Wicked Campers.
Clearance is the only specification that changes what a trip can do. Everything else is comfort.
